Gratitude Attitude – March Favourites + Positive Vibes
Taking The Time To Appreciate This Month’s Good Stuff!
I love taking the time to be grateful and appreciate the amazing things I have in my life! It’s been a huge change in me, and getting the habit in has made me feel much happier and more positive about my life and situation. Habits like this are so key. I had no idea how much I was dwelling on the ‘wants’ and ‘needs’ in my life, rather than appreciating the ‘already haves’.
In today’s post, I want to share the start of a brand new series on Beautifully Fragile! The series is going to be called ‘Gratitude Attitude’ and monthly I’ll be sharing my favourite things, the things I’m grateful for, and the accomplishments and goal progress for motivation and inspo to you amazing readers.
I hope that you enjoy this little round-up of positivity, things I’ve loved and enjoyed this month so far, and all the good vibes!
*These opinions are all my own, and I’m not currently affiliated with any of the companies mentioned! All items were bought and paid for by myself*
Beauty Loves + New Things
Over the past few weeks, I’ve had a few new beauty products to try.
I decided to treat myself to a few things that I’ve had my eye on and try to expand my range to things a little more luxury and high-end.
I’ve always been limited by funds due to being in a large amount of debt, but this is slowly changing now. I’m in a much better position all around, and so it’s nice to be able to treat myself. Giving myself space and opportunity to invest some of my money in things that make me look and feel good is such a good feeling.
Check out the products I’ve bought below!
Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation
I’m yet to try this foundation because I don’t tend to wear that much make up for work. I need to give it a go asap because everyone raves about it, and I’m so excited to try it! If you’ve given it a go, let me know in the comments below what you think of it!
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse // Elemis Superfood Cica Calm Hydration Juice
I’ve been using the Elemis Hydration Juice all week and my god it is amazing! I’ve found my skin has had that little glow to it that I never thought I’d be able to get! It feels so nice and refreshing. The consistency is gel-like but it’s thick, not watery. I’m in loooove with this hydrating little beauty!
The Nuxe oil is one of those classic items that just gives your cuticles so much moisture, and I keep it on my dressing table for the evenings where I slather them up!
New Stationery // Gold For Days
Another of the new things in my life for March which I just had to mention was these gold clips that I got for my journals/notebooks.
I’ve seen them used on Instagram and Pinterest and just loved them! I’ve been using them for the past couple of weeks and think they’re so cute.
Goal Progress + Accomplishments
Of course, it wouldn’t be a positive month review if we didn’t look at my goal progress and accomplishments.
As someone on a journey to building their dream life, and making actionable changes to get there, things change and I make new goals regularly. I’m always looking out for the amazing opportunities around me, and the things I can take on board or try out.
Some of my yearly goals, which I talked about in my post 6 Great Self-Improvement Goals For 2020, are being tracked monthly. These include:
- monthly 5k run with Parkrun // both me and Oliver agreed to this one together!
- monthly date night with Oliver
- reading a book a month
- planning my blog content a month ahead
Let’s look at each of these in more detail.
Monthly 5k Run
We didn’t do this in February due to so many commitments and also a lack of energy at weekends. We work for the same company, and both have very busy jobs to do. By the weekend we’re often completely knackered and drained, and in need of a good lie in! Park runs are on Saturday mornings at 9am and we just didn’t make it to one in February.
However, we plan to do one this month! We are going to make sure we simply try again.
Monthly Date Night
We had a couple of lovely date nights in February, with it being Valentine’s Day and also my birthday.
It’s very important to me that we have little date nights and spend quality time with each other. Of course, we’re together a lot of the time at home but we’re still doing our own things a lot.
Taking a weeknight or time at the weekend and spending some one-on-one time going for dinner or shopping or something is time I value a lot.
I’m looking forward to doing something just as nice in March too!
Reading A Book A Month
I’ve been enjoying reading properly again. It was always something I loved as a child, I’ve been obsessed with Harry Potter since I was old enough to start reading them! I’m 27, and so I remember reading them along with them being released. Especially for Goblet of Fire, I spent all summer reading it!
Getting back into reading and making time for it has been great. I bought myself a Kindle Fire 7 and have been reading all kinds of books about mindset, motivation, psychology, business, blogging – everything and anything that interests me, to be honest.
Most recently I read Reset: How To Restart Your Life and Get F.U Money which was a brilliant read, and also The One Thing, which was also amazing and very insightful. Check them out of Amazon if you’re interested!
Planning My Blog Content A Month Ahead
Finally, I’ve been much better at planning my blog content ahead, although keeping up with the schedule can be tough sometimes.
I want to be as consistent as possible for you guys, and have the content up for you when you expect it. It’s not always easy due to work and other commitments, so I need to keep working at this. Consistency is king! So getting it right is important.
Blogging success comes down to CONSISTENCY // CONTENT // STRATEGY
Using these three things together builds success, and implementing them is the key.
Making sure I plan my content ahead of time and get blog posts written in advance will help me with this. Definitely something to keep working towards.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my happy little roundup of things and goals and moves that have been happening this month! I would love to hear any of your positivity in the comments below 🙂
